Key Values
The values we share and follow have a direct impact on the software we create.
Follow a code of ethics
Ethics are important both in business and your daily life. The software we create is meant to serve people, support them in their daily routines and improve their life. We create positive user experiences, devoid of tricks and negative behavioral patterns. We believe that our clients and their clients demand usable and transparent systems.
Be empathetic
Empathy is one of the most crucial traits of a designer and it’s essential for keeping good relations. Arguably only through understanding the users' needs can we create a product that accomplishes the business goals. Empathy is important on every level of project development – from ideation, prototyping, programming to management and general communication. Keeping the needs of others in mind has a direct impact on cooperation and the work atmosphere.
Expand the horizons
We’re used to challenging and demanding projects as well as to utilizing new technologies or sophisticated integrations. We’ve treaded long and difficult development paths, worked on tough projects, and executed complex visions.
We work with international teams, with different cultures and native languages, yet we all share a common vision and goals. Our projects are delivered to customers from all around the world and different time zones: from North America to Europe or Asia. Our software is adapted to the needs of people with different predispositions and for a variety of different devices.
Feel responsible
We all share our time between our families, friends and hobbies. Work is just a part of it, and we respect our time off, understanding how important it is to regenerate and rest. We’re also aware that oftentimes you’d like to adapt your work time to variables in your private life.
We appreciate individuals that are responsible and independent, and we pay for it with trust. We’re fine with flexible work hours adjusted to your private situation, as long as work is delivered. We’re adaptable, but we ask you to feel responsible for the task at hand.
Stay reliable
Last but not least, the experience we all bring is a valuable currency. At Sintra, we share the lessons we’ve taken from our long history, the mistakes, errors and successes.
There’s a lesson in everything and we appreciate when people are supportive of one another, discuss common problems or find solutions for problems, even if they don’t necessarily take an active part in the project. In the end, we all work for a common goal, and sharing your valuable experience or honest feedback can help us achieve that goal faster and more efficiently.
