How it progressed
-
Discovery
we closely examined the project brief and expected functionality and took part in the process of choosing the right tools and technology
-
Development
our team was divided into three major areas: Magento e-commerce, WordPress, and React, and together continuously delivered the project parts.
-
Launch
we made certain that the data from the previous solution was matched and the redirects were operating; our team was prepared for the launch day and monitored the store status
-
Maintenance
post-launch, we’ve been focusing on extending the shop’s functionality, optimizing its performance, and helping it reach new levels
Page-building interface
– another challenge was related to having an easy interface for editing the content on the webpage. While Magento’s strength lies in e-commerce, its back-office UI is far from perfect. We integrated WordPress for landing and content pages, so it’s easy to use and edit at any given moment.
Combination of technologies
– the Eleo project was demanding technologically, requiring us to work together across different teams. In the end, we organized the work so all the teams could work simultaneously and merge their commits pre-launch. It was an interesting experience and we’re very happy about the result.
Optimization and adjustment to Google Core Vital requirements
– we made major amendments to the process of page loading that include: CSS split for vital and optional, change of servers, adjustments to the CLS (content layout shift), optimization of images to svg or webp and further adaptation to iOS devices (which caused problems with webp formats). As a result, the site’s speed, performance and score across different devices and tools has increased visibly.
